PASSWRD

Promise, it's really super easy. If you don't know what to do, here you get further instructions

Generate

Quick reference

First of all, don't panic. You only have to remember ONE password for all your logins, that's your master password! Whatever you fill in the form of PASSWRD stays on your computer. Nothing will be transmitted in the internet! Never!

Masterkey or Master Password

There are two strategies to generate a strong password, either create a short nonsense text or write a long sentence. But you have to keep it secret!!

If you want a short password, it should be at least 8 chars long and contain chars from A-Z, a-z, 0-9 and at least one special char like #,*,/. For help choosing your master password look here.

If that's to complicated, just remember a long sentence, to generate a sufficent good password e.g.

Sure, you can add some special characters but it is not necessary if the sentence is long, e.g.

When you enter your master password, it's by default hidden by dots to block bystanders. You may notice right to your master password a box with hash oder a 3-4 digit code. This is a hascode of your master password. Remember this code, so you are shure, that you entered the right password without looking at with the toggle< button>. Don't worry, you will remember it

Username

When you need a password for a certain page, e.g. www.google.com, you typically have a username. So fill in the form your master password (be cool, it stays on your computer) and the username you want to use.

Domain

Then fill in the domain name of the site. Here some examples:

You can of course fill in the full hostname, e.g. www.google.com, but I wouldn't recommend that.

Now hit enter. That's it. Copy to clipboard, opens a small dialog where you can copy the generated password to the clipboard
